We designed and synthesized 3,5di-(3',4',5'tri-alkoxybenzoyloxy) benzoic acid derivatives, one of three types of long-alkyloxy-tailed compounds with unique hydrogen-bonding matching functional groups. The liquid crystalline characteristics were assessed using polarized optical microscopy and DSC.
