In order to obtain the best formation conditions of NPs, different physicochemical parameters such as volume of the extract, silver ion concentration, temperature and reaction time were studied. Synthesized resultant NPs were characterized using UV, SEM, TEM, EDX, XRD, FT-IR and DLS analyses. A color change to brown after adding the extract to the silver nitrate solution was observed which indicated the formation of silver NPs. The synthesized silver NPs by Scrophularia Striata extract showed the highest absorbance at 426 nm. Plants use as stabilizing and reducing agents for NPs, due to their antioxidant properties and many secondary compounds.Sami Publishing Company (SPC)Eurasian Chemical Communications2717-05351620191101Intravenous promethazine vs. diazepam to reduce symptoms of peripheral vertigo in emergency section: a double blind clinical trial5075179237210.33945/SAMI/ECC.2019.6.2ENSaeed HayatiTrauma and Emergency Medicine Research Center, Hormozgan University of Medical Sciences, Bandar Abbas, IranReza YazdaniTrauma and Emergency Medicine Research Center, Hormozgan University of Medical Sciences, Bandar Abbas, IranSoghra FallahiCardiovascular Research Center, Hormozgan University of Medical Sciences, Bandar Abbas, IranZivar AtashbarTrauma and Emergency Medicine Research Center, Hormozgan University of Medical Sciences, Bandar Abbas, IranSeyed Ashkan Tabibzadeh DezfuliTrauma and Emergency Medicine Research Center, Hormozgan University of Medical Sciences, Bandar Abbas, IranJournal Article20190826The present research aimed to compare the effectiveness of promethazine and diazepam in patients suffering from acute peripheral vertigo. This is a double blind clinical trial with a sample of 154 patients visiting the emergency section of Shahid Mohammadi Hospital in Bandar Abbas in 2017-18. The participants were randomly divided into two groups of 77, one treated with intravenous promethazine (50 mg) and the other with intravenous Diazepam (10 mg). The severity of vertigo was measured qualitatively and quantitatively 20 minutes later in both groups. Participants were 46 (29.9%) male and 108 (70.1%) female visiting the emergency section of hospital. The mean score of vertigo severity in Promethazine group was 44.44±17.94 and that of Diazepam group was 2.49±+3.87. The severity scores before and after the treatment in promethazine group were respectively 7.75±1.59 and 2.72±1.93. The mean scores of vertigo severity before and after the treatment in promethazine group was -5.04+2.10 and in the diazepam group it was -3.83+3.09. The intergroup difference was statistically significant (p=.013). The results revealed that intravenous promethazine and diazepam applied 20 minutes after prescription are both effective in controlling the severity of vertigo. Considering the probability of occurrence of extrapyramidal side-effects it can be suggested that the infusion of this medication be done slowly and take longer time. Meanwhile, vital signs should be precisely controlled.Sami Publishing Company (SPC)Eurasian Chemical Communications2717-05351620191101Study of bendamustine anticancer drug in gaseous and in a few selected liquid solvents phases using functional density theory (DFT)5185269237310.33945/SAMI/ECC.2019.6.3ENMehri DeilamDepartment of Chemistry, Payame Noor University, P.O. The molecules of solvent affected the equilibrium structure of species. The effects of solvents have studied by Polarized continuum model (PCM). The optimized structural parameters in gaseous and in water, ethanol and methanol solvent phases as frequency data, relative energy, dipole moment, the energy of highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO), the energy of lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (LUMO), density functional graphs and gap energies have calculated. The results of theoretical computations confirm that the structure of drug, in both the main and the excited states, is more stable in liquid phase than in gaseous phase, and most stable in water. The computation results confirm that the drug stability increase by increasing in polarizability of solvent.Sami Publishing Company (SPC)Eurasian Chemical Communications2717-05351620191101Biosynthesis and characterization of silver nanoparticles: A thymbra spicataL extract approach and study of their antibacterial and antifungal activity5275449237510.33945/SAMI/ECC.2019.6.4ENTayeb AB MatinDepartment of Chemistry, Arak Branch, Islamic Azad University, Arak, IranNahid GhasemiDepartment of Chemistry, Arak Branch, Islamic Azad University, Arak, IranKeivan GhodratiDepartment of Chemistry, Kermanshah Branch, Islamic Azad University, Kermanshah, IranMajid RamezaniDepartment of Chemistry, Arak Branch, Islamic Azad University, Arak, IranJournal Article20190826In this study, at first, the biosynthesis of silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs) using an aqueous extract of Thymbra spicataL was studied and then, the shape and size of synthesized NPs were characterized by different analysis such as UV-Vis, TEM, SEM, EDX, XRD, DLS and FT-IR. One of the methods is the classification or regression is to step in the overall process of knowledge extraction. In this article, one of specific type of decision called the conditional contract arrangement, is used to extract the relevant knowledge in Catalytic Reforming Units (CRU) for 4 factors: Density, PH, total iron ions in vessels (S.FE) and H2S. All of these factors are related to corrosion in CRU units and this paper aims to optimize some conditions to eliminate it. In this regard, using ammonium water with a specific range and pH can be helpful. According to the obtained results the best range of density (in Feed) is less than 0.515 kg/m3, PH (water in vessels) is more than 6.7, S.FE is less than 1.5 ppm and H2S in recycle gas is less than 700 ppm. The outcomes also show how this approach can be used to gain insight into some refineries and how to deliver results in a comprehensible and user-friendly way.Sami Publishing Company (SPC)Eurasian Chemical Communications2717-05351620191101The mechanism of proton transfer and tautomerism in barbituric acid: A theoretical study5825949238110.33945/SAMI/ECC.2019.6.8ENMohammad ZakarianezhadDepartment of Chemistry, Payame Noor University, P.O. BOX 19395-4697 Tehran, IranJournal Article20190826Intermolecular proton transfer in barbituric acid (BA) both in the gas phase and in the presence of water molecule was investigated using the B3LYP method with aug-cc-pVDZ basis set. The overall process involves keto-enol and lactam-lactim tautomerism that occurs. The most stable form of barbituric acid turns into the intermediates with three-step proton transfer at three different positions of the structure of this compound. Then, these intermediates become to the final products passing through two competing processes. In order to determine the priority of each competitive process, energy changes of all possible tautomeric forms were investigated along with the role of solvent molecules in multiple routes. Also, transposition in the proton transfer process makes changes in the electron transfer energy which was investigated both in the gas phase and in the presence of water molecules. Frequency calculations performed to characterize ground and transition states and calculation of zero point energies. Natural bond orbital analysis and topological property of electron density were investigated using natural bond orbital (NBO) and atoms in molecules (AIM) analysis. From the results, all proton transfer process in the gas phase and in the presence of the solvent molecule (water) is exothermic and non-spontaneous. In the gas phase and in the water assisted condition, the route 1b is kinetically more preferred. Despite the increase of the increase of ring resonance of stronger hydrogen bonds in the product compared to the reactant, the products are more unstable than the reactant. Therefore, the only factor can make the product unstable is the severe decrease of LP (N) →σ* (C-O) electron transfer energy.Sami Publishing Company (SPC)Eurasian Chemical Communications2717-05351620191101Creation of biodegradable polymeric materials with antimicrobial properties5956039929910.33945/SAMI/ECC.2019.6.9ENIrina KrishDoctor of Chemical Sciences, Associate Professor. It should be noted that in the current study, polypropylene and high-pressure polyethylene of different brands were selected. The polymer composite materials (PCM) of various compositions treated with and without ultrasound were used. The formation dependence of the phase structures of polyolefin compositions on composition and viscosity of polymer systems was established. The regularity "structure-properties" of modified mixtures of polyolefins was determined. The influence of ultrasonic on the restoration process of the structure and the formation of new chemical bonds in polyolefin mixtures was discussed. The structure of the compositions of the polymer and technological conditions for their processing, which providing high physical and mechanical characteristics of PCM, were also proposed. The results indicated that to create compositions with high physical and mechanical characteristics, it is recommended to use a mixture of polyolefins containing 70% PE, modified by ultrasonic treatment.
