A topological index (TI) is a positive real number associated with the graph of molecule and remains invariant up to graph isomorphism. Until now, several TIs are defined and there are mainly three types: Degree depending, distance depending and spectrum depending. All these TIs found huge applications in pharmacy, theoretical chemistry and especially in QSPR/QSAR research. The aim of our study was to compute degree depending TIs for Hex board graph and its line graph. We firstly computed M-polynomial and by applying calculus, we computed several degree-based topological indices of Hex board graph and its line graph.

Streptococcus mutans have destructive effects on the development of caries. It is mainly found in biofilm and saliva, and can cause caries activity. Silymarin is an extract from the dried seeds of the milk thistle and has antibacterial activity. Seemingly, silymarine extract can prevent the destructive effects of S. mutans. Thus, this study was conducted to evaluate the effects of silymarine extract against S. mutans virulence and caries development in rat model and in vitro condition.Antibacterial activity, glucan adherence and synthesis, biofilm formation and acid production were investigated under in vitro condition. Gene expressions of relA, gtfC, brpA and comDE were assessed. Dental caries development was also evaluated. The results showed decreased biofilm formation, glucan synthesis and adherence and decreased acid production in higher doses of silymarine (p <0.05). The results also showed decreased gene expressions of relA, gtfC, brpA and comDE in the animals treated with silymarine than the control group (p <0.05). A significant decrease in caries development was found in the intervention groups compared with the control group (p <0.05). It can be concluded that use of silymarine, as a supplement, can inhibit caries development. It is recommended that silymarin can be used as a commercial supplement and/or in combination with other agents to prevent the development of dental caries.

Fixed implant-dependent prostheses are one of the most common treatments in dentistry. The aim of this study was to test the impact of modifications of the implant-abutment body on the retention rate of the cemented implant prostheses. For this purpose, sixty-four DIO implants in 8 groups were used. The retention levels of permanent cements were greater than that of temporary cements. The highest retention rate was reported in the group of permanent cements in sandblast implants and then in double-vented and single-vented abutments and finally in the control group, but in the group of temporary cements, the lowest rate of retention was reported in double-vented and single-vented abutments and finally in the control group. In the group of temporary cements, like permanent partners, sandblast abutments had the highest retention. By creating architectural improvements in the body of the abutments, in addition to getting an appropriate amount of retention close to permanent cement clinically, the benefits of temporary cements such as their higher solubility and the avoidance of the possible dangers of the residual cements could be exploited.

Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) rate plays an important role in overall performance of female employees who work in IT companies. In this study, we tried to find out the factors which influence OCB rate of female employees as well as the impact of OCB on their behavior. In IT companies, OCB is found higher in female employees than in male. Ethical leadership, organizational justice and organizational support influence employees’ OCB rate. It was also found that female employees having high level of OCB showed better performance, high level of organizational commitment, loyalty, higher jib satisfaction, improved their work efficiency, and less absenteeism. So, OCB has a major impact on organizational effectiveness.

Polyphenylene is a class of polycyclic aromatic compounds that has varied applications in biochemistry and biology. A numerical measure that defines the characteristics of a chemical structure is called topological index. In chemical graph theory, Estrada et al. proposed the degree-based topological indices known as Atom-bond connectivity index [4]. A new version of index is Fourth Atom-bond connectivity index proposed by M. Ghorbani et al. [6]. A valuable predictive index in the study of the heat of formation of alkanes, the strain energy of cycloalkanes is index. Based on this, numerous articles were reported. In this study, novel indices, Reciprocal Atom-bond Connectivity and Reciprocal Fourth Atom-bond connectivity indices were proposed and a comparative study of correlation with properties of octane isomers were given. It was observed that these indices showed good correlation for physico chemical properties of octane isomers. Subsequently, Reciprocal Atom-bond connectivity and Reciprocal Fourth Atom-bond connectivity indices for Polyphenylene structure of molecules were computed.

Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is a brain injury caused by physical external forces on the head that leads to changes in the brain tissue. Epidemiologic studies help to identify the key opportunities for decreasing burden of TBI, cost-effective prevention and treatment of TBI. This study was conducted to investigate the epidemiology and radiologic findings of patients with traumatic brain injures who referred to emergency department in Iran. In this retrospective descriptive-analytic study, the data of patients (n=267) with TBI admitted to Emergency Department of Shahid Mohammadi hospital of Hormozgan University of Medical Sciences were considered during 2017 year. The administrative dataset of Shahid Mohammadi hospital was used in the current study. Mean of age for patients was 29.87 years and 228 patients (85.00%) were men and 39 patients (15.00%) were women. The most trauma was associated to road accidents (n=203, 67%), 58 cases (21.70%) for falling from heights, 4 cases (1.54%) for struggle and 2 cases (0.7%) for water injury. The data showed that 35 patients (13.10%) were dead due to trauma and 232 patients (86.90%) survived. The results showed that epidural hematoma (EDH) (n=79) and subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) (n=71) had most incidence. The results showed a significant relation between age and trauma mechanism (P<0.05), so that 58 patients <18 years of age injured from road accidents, while 133 patients 18-60 years of age injured form road accidents. In conclusion, the most common causes of TBI in Bandar Abbas are accidents that must be reduced by traffic rules and transport safety.

Secondary dialkyl-, diaryl-, alkylarylarsinghalides hold one of the most important places in the hierarchy of various classes of organo-arsenic compounds. These compounds can serve as a key for accessing the synthesis of tertiary arsines, studying their structure, reactivity, stereochemical and biological properties. Secondary substituted mixed alkylarylarsinghalides, due to the active halogen atom associated with arsenic, have high reactivity in various chemical substitution reactions. Accordingly, they are a source for obtaining representatives of the next series of organo-arsenic compounds with useful properties to meet the needs of various areas of production. Despite the significant position in the chemistry of organo-arsenic compounds, these substances remain poorly studied and therefore the problem of their study still remains relevant. This work is devoted to the study of literary sources that describe methods for the synthesis of secondary arsinghalides, including the experimental results of the author's research. Based on the analysis of the data obtained, the authors recommend the method he has tested for the synthesis of secondary asymmetric arsinghalides. The work provides a detailed description of the recommended method for the synthesis of ethylarylarsine chlorides and gives comparative characteristics of a number of obtained substances, as well as the results of analytical and spectroscopic studies, confirming their compliance with the accepted structures.

The experimental possibility of splitting asymmetric derivatives of three-and four-coordinated arsenic into optically active antipodes had for a long time remained unattainable for many well-known chemists, including Meisenheimer (Germany), Kamai (Russia), etc. When a racemic mixture of chiral arsines is cleaved with optically active components, a functional group (acidic or basic) is used that is contained in one of the fragments bound to the arsenic atom. Chiral arsines containing a carboxyl group are synthesized by oxidation of the corresponding fragments. Based on the results, to develop effective methods for the synthesis of tertiary arsines containing functional groups XC6H4(C2H5)AsC6H4У, where У=о-, m-, p-NH2, COOH, the reactivity of ethylarylarsine chlorides with organometallic compounds should be considered.

As a result of a study of patients with abscesses and phlegmon of the submandibular triangle, 39 patients aged 20 to 30 years received treatment with an immunomodulator. Before and after treatment of wounds, the immune status was assessed: local immunity of the oral cavity (SIgA), indicators of cellular immunity (blast transformation reaction with phytohemagglutinin - PHA LTT (phytohemagglutinin lymphoblast transformation test)), indicators of humoral immunity (IgA, IgG, IgE). The results obtained proved the clinical efficacy of the immunomodulatory drug, which accelerated the healing period of abscesses and phlegmon of the submandibular triangle in this group of patients.
